Karsen is a wife and a dog mama who believes in watching cartoons on slow Saturday mornings, eating cupcakes before dinner, and Jesus. From a young age, she was intrigued and compelled by the stories of empowering women, from Florence Nightengale to Marilyn Monroe. Fast forward to today, she is the founder of Belong Movement -- a radical community that invites all women to belong just as they are, be loved and encouraged along the way, so that they can become all they were created to be. Belong meets once a month at a local coffee shop and event venue called Foundation Coffee Co. in Tampa, Fl. Their main goal and culture is for every woman who walks through the door to be seen, heard, celebrated, known and loved just as they are because that's exactly what Jesus does for us. It doesn't matter who you are, what you do or don't believe, what color your skin is, what has or hasn’t happened in your past, what season or stage of life you find yourself in, all women belong and are welcome to attend and have a seat at the table. Belong brings in guest speakers from the Tampa and surrounding areas to speak on topics such as business, faith, entrepreneurship, personal growth, and more to share their stories and experiences with other women to encourage and empower them to go out into the world around them and do the same! When she isn’t hosting the next Belong Pop-Up, she’s managing social media accounts, creating content, drinking lavender lattes like they’re going out of style, going on boat dates with her husband or hanging out with her amazing friends and dreaming up more ideas than she has time for. Her quirky and bubbly behavior has been known to draw people in from the get-go and make them feel at home. Nothing lights her up more than seeing other women feel empowered to be all that they were created to be through the encouragement and love of the community around them. Today, the mic is flipped and Karsen is actually interviewing ME! We're reflecting on 2018, what my word for 2019 is and honestly so much more. You don't want to miss this episode!
